This page explains how confidentiality is maintained, how information is handled, and the circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be limited.

Confidentiality

Information shared during counselling sessions is treated as confidential.

This includes information disclosed during consultations, counselling sessions, written communications and other professional interactions.

Confidential information will not normally be shared with anyone outside the counselling relationship without your knowledge or consent.

Wherever possible and appropriate, any need to disclose information would be discussed with you before action is taken.
